Our Roadmap

Our roadmap outlines the key milestones on our journey to launching the Akave network, highlighting our commitment to performance, durability, decentralization.

In progress

Q3 2024

Alpha Testnet Launch

Run a small set of internal nodes that expose the Akave API for early testers to access and test the SDK and S3 interfaces. This program is limited to a small set of builders and customers currently interested in integrating with the Akave network. This version will include the first set of documentation.

Q4 2024

Yucca Launch

Release the first version of an Akave network, run by a set of qualified node providers that validate the Akave network. This network is the first publicly accessible Akave network that can be used by builders to store data onto the Akave and Filecoin network.

Q1 2025

Senita Launch

This milestone includes the release of new features that increase data durability through Erasure Coding techniques and payment features that allow for easy access and token payments. In this release, new providers can be added.

Q2 2025

Tobala Launch

Launch Akave's marketplace that provides for an easy selection of storage providers, regional zones and price points broken down by storage tiers. This provides builders and users the opportunity to easily select where data is stored.

Q2 2025

Ferox Incentivized Testnet Launch

Release programs to incentivize users to move data to the Akave network and drive expansion of the network with more node providers and zones. The goal is to secure the network more decentralized and offer more choice to the builders and users when it comes to storage offerings. Akave is now a permissionless network where any ecosystem node provider can join the network.

Q2 2025

Sotol Limited Launch

Successfully set up the Akave DAO and Foundation in preparation for the Mainnet launch.

Q2 2025

Azul Mainnet Launch & TGE

Akave's token release and Akave's Mainnet goes live.
